There is a kind of silence...that falls upon life and loss with such overwhelming grace, that even the most evil of creatures must settle down to respect it. This silence is brought by only a few of the mystical things left in the world...things that bring back a reminder of the world that was lost. And of the world that has yet to begin.
Zephyr stood quietly, the slender figure of a young woman through the dense of the foliage near the school. Tonight the moon had come to light the world with a pale glow, each and every tree wishing to call it it's own. The girl had not moved, even though the breeze came to play with her hair and the sound of her furs (making up her clothing) rustling brought faint whispers across the land. Her wings, translucent and glimmering shuttered as the wind passed over them. There was a beauty in her amber eyes, one that seemed to match the divinity of the forest.
The area around her was truly gorgeous, her silhouette against the showing that she sat upon a stone. A creek ran through this opening in the woods, the water flowing so gently down the rocks that it could not be heard. Some might have called this a spiritual place while others just might have thought it to be any average clearing. In truth, this one of the most truly beautiful places she knew. And that is why Zephyr sat here...her eyes staring into the nearby water as if she could see her whole life there.
So much had happened...she was old even if her body did not show it. She was wise and caring, without a soul to care for. She could only look into her fantasies to find the faces that she could love. And with a sad smile, she would try to hold on to them just a little longer. Those faces that could be part of the happiest times in her life. It would be hard to let them go and leave her dreaming.
Her pale skin glittering with the light of the moon, her red-brown hair brushing her arms thoughtfully. The world had seemed so empty through her golden eyes...and now more then ever she sought that Flower Rain. With a sad smile, as if writing the last lines in a love story, Zeph looked up at the trees above her. And very slowly, little pink petals began to fall.
"Flower Rain...forever in my debt... " she muttered, then buried her face into her knees, pulling them tight against her chest.

As Aether walked in the Petal orchard he could see that there had been a silhouette, clutching a her knees as he muttered something in a low voice and seeming sad, the total feel of the area made Aether wonder, why such sadness gave him the impression that a divine being was being wounded from within, Aether crept up to the clutched figure and hugs her in his gentle embrace, while whispering a sentence in her ear followed by a song...
-"You aren't alone anymore, my dear whisp of divinity!", he said to her as he continued to caress her arms with gentle quality that would give others the impression of being an adult himself,
"In my heart lies the key to happiness that grants any wish I desire, what have you lost that made so you sad? I will bring you hope for something you truly desire, your wish shall be heard by heaven as it comes true for your happiness. In my hands are the tools that god himself gave to make you happy, my love... In the wondrous lands of the heart, is a treasure so deep. In it's deep embrace one can find the truth. I have longed to see your hope rise again deep within your lovely eyes, How I long to set you free in a world made for your happiness..."
As he continued to sing his feminine voice graced the entire orchard as a magic old as time sung by mothers to their children, Magic flowed in the air animating the spirits of the trees as more and more petals began to create a divine blizzard of petals. peace flows, although he never sung to others before, his song was a song to soothe the souls of the sad and the lost.
He got up from hugging this faerie, he began to fly slowly to keep singing and raise her spirits in his hopes, uncertain as they may be... He continues to sing,
"How may I serve in your plate that will make you smile? How may I serve your dreams, so that will make your smile shine once more? Why must we feel like everything is falling apart? Maybe it's nothing, but why can't you see how the flowers greet your smile? I pray for you to wake from your sadness..."
Aether froze up as he had no clue to help this girl, and was getting bashfull about it. Aether never did anything like this before, what came over him? He is unlikely to find the answer for now.
-"S-sorry about intruding!", he said as he looked sideways, "I-I just wanted to see your smile!"

The moonlight was so gentle. It curved and waved in all the right places, its glow both cool and warming. A blanket for the lost world, the silver orb settled over the land with divine charm. Holding it on her skin, Zephyr let her amber eyes hold the petals that fell from the blooming trees. How strange...that in a world that seemed so dead and empty...something beautiful remained.
In her little woodland oasis, Zeph let sound drift to her pointed ears. She acknowledged it as friend, not foe. So little foes were left to fear. She remained quiet, still and carved like a marble replica of someone who had not quite awakened into existence. Such a fragile thing the border of reality was, that Zephyr felt she skipped the line each time the music changed and the dance took her elsewhere.
His voice brushed her ears like whispering lull, her lips parted slightly, thoughtfully. Her golden gaze found him easily, her hair tickling her cheeks as the breeze ran with it. How casual he spoke, truly seeming to find relief in another soul that sought the unseekable. She blinked once, considering her own reply. After hundreds of years had taught her many lessons, her mind going over mistakes that she had made in the past to prevent any more from happening again.
A gentle melody like a lullaby cradled on angel's wings, "It is true that all seems distant now...falling away. Seeing you makes me grateful that I have been gifted with yet another reminder that I am not alone here. I cannot help but feel I am but a lone berry on a bush of dead leaves. Tell me, stranger. You have a face that is stranger still...who are you?"
Her eyes became alight with a bit of fire, she did not like the touch from this stranger, and his song was far too intimate to be given to her at first meeting. Yet she fancied he knew something she did not. Her poetic reply was only due to her current mood, any normal day she would have reacted as a wild animal might, thrashing out with bared teeth and flitting away...but not yet.
Wisdom was something she held dear, memories her life...hopes and dreams part of it all. Love had not yet found a place to wake within her. As a phoenix did, it would live then die. Isabella never wished to see the bird fall to ashes again. No, love would remain asleep until the phoenix could live forever. That's how love was, right?

-"I am Someone that is only there when needed and dies away as the need fades of my presence, I am just a...farrel.", he said so as if ashamed of his own kind, Farrels were exotic and beautiful but not well treated like other fairies, "I didn't mean to get too personal, I just wanted to help you smile again..."
As he walked around softly, "I am a person by the name of Aether Wraithe, Farrel prince and an artisan of painting and song. Sadly such education is the sacrifice of freedom and friends, as I would like to trade all these skills for friends, but friends, good friends, are kinda hard to come by for us."
He looked at her with a polite, and courteous bow as his teachings of courtesy, might pay off, his mother always said to be honnest but then he had to leave it all behind and there is no doubt that they might never return home, he should drop the title of prince, He turns to see her again.
-"Although I don't think 'prince' will work for me anymore, since I do not possess any considerable wealth even a low ranking noble is far wealthier than my family at this time.", he said in a shy overtone in his voice, " I will leave your presence, for now but fear not I will come for your need of comfort and conversation, milady."

Zepher felt the fire return to her gaze and could feel the rock beneath her turn to ice. This ferrel, this stranger, had just told her so much of himself. Things she wouldn't care to know. The peaceful fog in her mind began to fade back to her normal ways of dealing with things. She was out of words for this man. What to say to so much? She felt the fur prickling up her neck and her snout begin to grow. It was time for her nightly run, and nothing could stop it.
She kept her amber orbs on the other until she no longer looked at him with the eyes of a fay, but those of a fairy-sized wolf. Her reddish-brown fur was graced with the same violet wings. As he offered to leave, so did she.
She closed her eyes and inclined her head toward the stranger kindly as if in thanks and turned from him to face the orchard. In one smooth movement, she leapt from the rock onto the ground and took off as a lithe wolf-fairy.She did not use her wings in this form and only ran. She loved the rush. Pink petals floated in the air around her, rushing by her snout as she ran, icy wind rustled up behind her. Her name was Zephyr after all, and the wind followed her as she ran, disappearing into the night as if she was one with the Lady herself and disappeared.
Back in the clearing with the ferrel, all that remained of Zephyr was the howling west wind, the melting ice on the rock, and the flower rain all around.

-"Truly someone special, to be noted for such heart!", he had said as he called for his butler Timmy, by changing forms into a girl and her attitude with it, "Come on, Timmy lets go to the the classroom, it's time for magic lessons!"
The leprechaun appeared out of her sleeve as it regained its true size, both left the petal orchard back to where the town was...
things had always been bumpy with Aether but now she would have less problems, perhaps more problems due to the fact that someone had seen her male form might get suspicious of Aether, then the last thing she would have needed would have been another witch hunt.
