The sun settled itself high in the sky, a glowing orb that brimmed brightly high above. It set the scene, made it peaceful in a way that nothing else could. The distant sound of waves hitting rocks and the tangy smell of saltwater added to the vibrant scenery. Zephyr lay in a field, a bit away from the ocean shore. The golden grass blew around her, controlled by a breeze that was perfect for the day.
Her hair almost camouflaged with the grasses, red-brown threads of silk and satin gently swaying in the wind. Her honey-amber eyes looked up at nothing in particular. The sky was clear, and endless field of blue. It would never end, just stretch on into infinity.
Zeph wondered how long she had been relaxing in this place. It seemed as if she could drift here forever. Still, she felt out of place in a way. She had no purpose here, no meaning. Her life felt blank, empty. Something in her heart begged her to stand up. Just fly. Get as far as she could until she could fly no more. Maybe then she would have found her place in the life she felt she had no part of.
The tip of a brown tail could be seen, swishing back and forth in an unknown rhythm. Here, Zeph felt that nothing could touch her. Here she was just another blade of grass in a field of autumn bliss. Here she was just a small part of the skies of blue.
Rising from her place on the ground, IZephyr stood on perfectly balanced feet. They were padded slightly, as she was barefoot, and kept her upright and comfortable. She heard something unfamiliar, but here the only sound she liked was the waves.
She walked slowly, her movements graceful in a way that few others could master. It was the wolf part in her, making everything she did look fluid and right.
As she went, the young woman came across a large rock. It was nearly twice her height, though looked warm and inviting in a field of glory. Suddenly she was on top of it, sitting with her legs to her side [ you may call it mermaid-style ^^]. Anyone with fast enough eyes could have seen a small timber wolf, a coat of dusted colors, leaping onto the top, golden eyes brimming with delight in an exercise.
Now she sat peacefully, her hair blowing back behind her, each silk strand a rolling wave. Her wings shuttering and sparkling in the breeze. The wind played at her skirts, though soon became a part of her. She looked out at a sight that felt familiar to her, also a part of her. And deep within her soul, she longed for someone to share this with. Someone to hold her and whisper dreams to her. And she knew that it would come. One day, one eternity, it would come...

Hearing the push and pull of the wind as he walked, Theory was in peace. Since his blindness his sense of hearing is the most sensitve and then touch. He could hear the cotton lilys sway and bend. The tall grass touched at his face and hair. From his former days of sight, he could imagine the most beautiful sky with touches of blue, pink, and yellow. The clouds would mix together with the colors creating a most wonderful piece of artwork by the hands who created all there is.
Sighing, he stopped where he was and felt the earth beneath his feet. It was cool and soft. There were pebbles scattered about but he avoided those. Aiden, his pet crow, went ahead. He soared up above the puff whites and glided back down with grace. Adien perched himself back on Theory's shoulder and rubbed his beak through Theory's hair. Theory petted aiden's soft downy feathers and cooed to him.

Zephyr had not sensed the other at first. Her mind was floating on those very waves not so far away. The russel of furs making up her skirts and the flutter of wings was heard. Calmly, she turned her head to see her company. A smile touched velvet lips as she saw the other fay come to sit near by. "Hello," she offered, looking over at him from her place on the rock.
Her golden eyes went to his bird, sparkling with a hint of amusement. She thought of how the creature often appeared in her dreams almost as if she was not suppost to exist here, like a fantasy. She felt real...but she had been told before that she appeared to some as an apparition. A trick of the mind. And yet even she did not feel part of this world...
Zeph ran a hand through her hair, the red ribbons waving in the gentle breeze, twigs stuck here and there in the knots, and a few leaves scattered out into the wind. The oyher in front of her surprised her in a way. Something about him prodded the curiosity in Zepher's heart, made her wonder if he was real.
"It would be my pleasure if you would like to accompany me. I almost thought that this piece of the world had fallen away when no one else appeared. I'm glad to know that I was not alone," her voice was a soft melody. It was almost as pretty as her singing, the one thing that she enjoyed to do more than anything else. Singing was when she let herself go free, the one time when she could create her own rain. A flower rain.

A sweet and gentle voice seemed to sing out to him. Theory was astounded that he hadn't felt the other fairy's presence. Now, though, he felt it quite well. Her aura was calm but was tense with curiosity. He could feel her bright attitude and warm heart.
To him, her voice was a soft dream floating out to claim him. He caught his breath and cleared his throat. Aiden spread his wings out in a kindly gesture towards the other fairy. He liked her. Theory then said, "I would indeed enjoy sharing your company. In truth though, ma'am, we are never alone." He was refering to the creator, of coarse. Theory had great respect and love for the creator.

A smile graced her lips as she looked at him, wings seeming to vibrate as she leaned in his direction, eyes wide. His words slightly puzzled her, until she caught his meaning,
"Hm, I suppose," she said gazing about the land. It was enormous, it's grace stretching out for miles around as far as the eye could see. The creator had made such a wonderful place but it seemed he had not made it for her, or for her to have much of a place in.
Her wolf self paced within her as if wanting to just get out and run.
"So, stranger, what's you're name?" The friendly question would distract her from her ever growing thoughts of defiance toward remaining here in this city. "I'm Zephyr named after the west wind, and red wolf fairy of...well here I guess." her gaze fell to the ground and her lips pursed to the side a bit as she relized that might have sounded silly. Oh well, she thought, it couldn't be that bad.

OOC: Sorry about the above message. I hate when I do that.
Theory smiled lightly and said, "I'm Theory Sander. Zephyr huh? That is a very beautiful name, clever as well. Your voice seems sad and yet hopeful. I don't mean to pry but why would that be?" He was most curious about this Zephyr. She seemed strangly different. It was a refreshing different though. He enjoyed her company profusely.

She let out a breath a moment, closed her eyes and took in the scent of the world. The wolf could smell the sea, so very far away, and the adventures that awaited. she deemed that it was safe enough to say that this stranget, Theory, would be kind enough to listen to her wandering thoughts. However she could not guess how he would judge her.
"Have you ever..." she opened her amber orbs and gazed out toward the horizon, "wanted to get away?" she suddenly took in a breath and stood, bursting out, letting her dreams pour from her lips like an unstoppable flood, "I want to see where the sirens sing hear how the wolf howls, sail the deep calm waters of the pacific, dance in the fields of coral, be blinded by the white, discover the deepest jungle," her wings lifted her from her rock and she held out her arms to the sky lost in thought, eyes sparkling "I want to love by the blue lagoon, kiss under the waning moon, straying, claiming my place in this mortal coil, riding the dolphins, asking the mountains, dreaming Alaska, the earth can but have earth!" her speech came to a close and she took a breath and fluttered down in front of him, "I want to be the pathfinder, the wolf, the wanderer..."
She bit her lip, studying his blindfolded face, searching for expected signs of disapproval, then turned away, feeling the soil under her bare feet and walked a few feet from him to sit down beneath the towering grass. "Silly huh?" she picked at the dirt, her back to him, and waited for a reply.

Theory smiled lightly at Zephyr's outburts. It was quite a lovely dream. He wondered why she had stopped. The light stepps and the sound of fluttering wings made him realize that she backedaway from him. His smile faded and his eyebrows furrowed. "What's wrong? I don't think I offened you in anyway. If somehow I did, I'm quite sorry. I enjoyed hearing your dream. It's beautiful. You are a very lovely poet. The way your words flowed, I could tell how passionate you are about this grand dream. I don't think it is silly at all. I think It is absolutely wonderful. I, myself, could never dream that big. Most of us can't. You should keep your dream well alive, Zephyr. Perhaps the creator will hear your plea. Don't fret too much. It doesn't become you." He slowly walked to her side and laid a strong hand lightly on her shoulder. He wanted to know more about this fairy. She seemed full of spirit and life. He enjoyed the freedom she seemed to possess even if she felt contained.

"Oh, no," she smiled up at him, "not offended, just dreamy I suppose. I wish I could just get up the courage to finally leave. Perhaps I just should. maybe today, maybe tomorrow." Her gaze trailed off into the distance, "Maybe just for a day, just get out and run like the wind. Get to see the sea maybe even get to see the Goblin King up close." She gasped suddenly, afraid to have said that last part out loud, "I mean..." she said quickly, "Just to say I have and that I survived. Not because I like goblins, trust me they're too smelly.' She chuckled and let her thoughts drift.
"I wonder what's out there...I really do. Call me a wanderluster, because I do lust for wandering..." She bit her lip and turn to him, scooting a little closer and feeling anxious, "hey maybe...."she paused and tilted her head to the side, "maybe you could come with me? Or if you don't want to or cant..."she paused to study the blindfold, afraid she might offend him, "maybe you could just keep track of how long I'm gone? I have no family and if I'm going as far as the goblin kingdom I want to make sure someone knows that I'm leaving. If something happens to me at least someone will know.' She frowned, "But I can protect myself very well, I am part wolf after all." She suddenly realized she was talking to much and shut herself up. This time to patiently wait for his reply.

A light smiled played at the left corner of his lips. Theory was entranced by this fairy girl. She had such dreams that he never would have dreamed. "Well, I am happy that I have not offended you, afterall. That is very fantastic. You wish to see the Goblin King? That is an intreguing thought. Goblin's really aren't so terrible. They just are misguided and well to tell you the truth, it is our fault they are the way the are. Years ago, fairies and goblins resided in harmony. I suppose to be a wanderluster must be a very interesting way of thinkning. I never really questioned what's out there. It just never came up in my mind. I suppose it would be nice to visit new places and see new things...figuratively speaking of coarse." Theory was a bit ashamed to say that last part. His sight had been a hard thing to loose but he figured that he had adjusted well enough. Those sad feelings of before came rolling in now though.

"Yeah.." Zephyr put a close to the subject, thoughts already swirling around that magical gate back in the city. "I'm gonna do it." she said, voice thoughtful, "Today, right now, with nothing than these clothes, I'm leaving right now." She smiled then, her eyes gleaming with adventure. "Whatddya say? You gonna see me off?" The wind blew then, bringing her the scents of a thousand moons yet to be seen and a hundred places yet to go. Her wanderlust was strong, and now, as the sun shone and the wind blew, it called her. She did not notice how her statement could have offended Theory, for he could not see, but she certainly meant no harm by it. After a few more moments she took off toward the gate.
