A thin layer of gray clouds blotted the sky out of existence. Wind rippled through the vast lands as she neared the ocean, an eerie howling that brought the slightest bit of fog with it. It was not long before the clouds opened and rain bore down upon the earth. Through the strange silence and fog, one could barely make out the figure of a young woman standing on the city cliffs. Her figure was blurred from a distance, though up close it was much different.
Some people could think of angel's crying a feel a certain emotion...if it could be, that same presence clung to the cliffs. Standing on a stone, bright gold eyes looking out, Zephyr ignored the icy rain. Her hair was a tumble of reddish brown, spilling around her shoulders in the wind as the red ribbons threaded throughout it whipped around in the air. Her dirty armored skirt billowed behind her, slowly letting in the rain that covered it.
Her expression was unreadable, though even through the rain she shared an inhuman grace and beauty. The view where she stood would have been amazing with the sun out, and yet it was still nice with the torches flickering in a countless number of windows. The city almost looked like a group of fireflies...
She had let only one person know that she would be gone for awhile. She needed the time to think. She just did not feel right. Did not feel complete. Somehow, she thought she never would be. Her life felt empty, barren of hope, faith, love, or loss. She needed something...longed for something...to change her. Let her feel again. And yet standing in the rain, she could hardly feel the sharp cold winds chapping her cheeks.
