Slepnir was as usual in no mood. No emotion, devoid of any reason to care wether or not he lived or died or if the earth were to burn away at his feet. He sat cross legged in the fog the pale grey of his clothing hiding him near perfectly in the whispering fog. His ornate and lethal katana was resting at his feet. The only noticable thing was the deep blue sash around his waist as well as the flecks of the same color in his pulled back and braided hair. Slepnir was a hermit, a handsome one yes, but he preferred nothing more than solitude. If someone were to bother him he wouldn't be rude, but he wouldn't be friendly either. The Slepnir of old had died with Fenrir. Four years had passed and the brilliant mind underneath the apathetic calm was working overtime, trying to solve the mystery of these fogs. He had been out here for several weeks but still no Success. Perhaps time would tell. Or perhaps time would claim him into the void.

The sky was blackening, from rain or the coming night, Zephyr was not sure. She could not help but feel trapped. She had gone far from Luminis City, she was utterly alone, and yet she still felt a stalker-like presence. Every few seconds her eyes would glance back, trying to catch the sounds that echoed around her. She had managed to find herself on a street so barren of life that she wondered how much time she had left before she too faded into this nothingness.
Her thought wandered all over, to her dreams. Increasingly so she remembered a face from so long ago, like Dorian's so much like his but darker. A flicker of memory just out of reach told her she had loved this man more than life itself and she had to find him. From her days spent living in a cage of a city without meaning to the life she lived now. For some reason she could not help but feel like her life was being ruled without her control. Things were hurting in her, and past emotions tore her down. She had once been a wall of steel and now felt more like a wall of broken stone. Things were changing in her that she did not like. Periods of time where she felt she was watching her life from someone else's point of view. As if she was beginning to lose control when she became to angry or scared. Zephyr wanted an escape from it.
Her steps were silent, the path she was on slowly becoming a thick bunch of foilage. A crunch came from her right side and out of fear and boiled up hurt she shot a fist out at the man that had been watching her pockets greedily. He had no time to scream. She had hit his neck. A slump to the ground was all she had to hear before knowing what she had done.
She stared down with wide golden eyes at the man she had just killed. Blood dripped from his mouth making a puddle on the stone turn red. Zephyr could see her reflection through the scarlet before one drop of rain obscured her form. Thus began the storm that had been looming over her all day. And thus began her tears.
She slumped against a wall, the bum's blood snaking around her boots as she cried softly. She had killed another. She had added to the misery and guilt that she bore deep down.
Red hair in a messy mop hung over her shoulders, wet and frizzy from the rain. Gentle tears caressed her red cheeks as she wished her life away. What is there to live for in this life! she thought furiously. "What do I have left!" she cried.
And as the rain fell, no one was around to see her crying. No one was there to lend her a shoulder. Not in this place. This hell . It was there where a fallen soldier wished for an escape from it all. Though none would come. The body at her feet was a mere symbol of who she had to count on. And of all names. Of all words for her to whisper, she remembered one person who may have felt the same as she had. It had finally come to her from her dreams, she remembers a forgotten past, the one she loved in her dreams, from what seemed another life.
"Dysin..." she whispered softly. "Please rid me of this life of mine. Please help me..." And then she slid onto her back, lying in the ally in someone else's blood hoping that the one person that hated her, could save her.

Slepnir had heard the woman's cries but he walked towards them anyway. Heartless he may seem put he wouldn't let a woman's cries go unheeded. It was what seperated the fay and the monster's. As Slepnir rounded a bend he spotted a dead man on the ground and a woman crying as she lay in his blood. He sighed audibly and stood over her his face forlorne his eyes even a little saddened.
Slepnir then decided to simply use some emotion.
'Are you hurt?' Slepnir's voice came out calmly. He was sure he was a shock, silver haired grey and speckled blue eyes and of course dragonfly wings made of lightning and lunar light. He presence usual startled people but this woman, this poor soul laying on the ground seemed she needed someone, and he was the only one there.

SHe was on her feet in an instant, ebony dagger flashing as she pulled in from it's place on her belt to face him, wings flared. She wiped the tears away, smearing blood on her face,
"I'm fine," she said sternly. She looked the faymen up and down and stood, lowering her dagger. She hoped he had not heard her prayer to the goblin king, lest she be deemed a traitor to her kind. "Who are you? What are your intentions?"
Her amber gaze was fierce as she watched him, this wolf-kin-fay would not be overpowered easily.
((sorry it's so crappy, I'm all mused out after my immense posting doom yesterday))

The mask of Slepnir's face showed no emotion as the dagger approached him. He stood imapssively as she wiped the tears from her eyes mixing blood and sweet tears on her cheek. He noted the ferocity which she moved and even the defensive energy coming from her.
'You ask me my name after flashing a dagger at me.... You are probably a wolf-kin aren't you?' Slepnir mused emptily before decideing he could answer her.
'My name is Slepnir. And my intentions are simply to see what happened. The cries of a woman usually arouse my attention, even when I am trying to solve a mystery... Perhaps I should head south....' Slepnir spoke the last part to himself as he walked around the woman passively before looking over his shoulder.
'If you wish there is an inn nearby they have a shower and don't ask any questions. Tell them Slepnir sent you and you'll get in for free. If you have questions....' Slepnir paused a slightly perplexed look on his face. Why did he care....
'I'll be in the next room over.'
